READ: John 1
MY KEY VERSE: John 1:5 ‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not over come it.’
MY REFLECTIONS: Darkness can be such a powerful thing. I remember bringing a sailboat down to Charleston. It was stormy, one of the longest nights. When the first light came my heart was so relieved. I once had a friend describe mental illness as “being in a cave without a candle” he didn’t make it through his illness.
MY PRAYER: My prayer is for the people of Kenya, that dark hearts will not prevail. That light will shine in the darkness that is occurring there.
What a great thought Lauren! Makes me look at the verse so much differently now!

I wish you would write an autobiography so I could read all about your life. I love that you can pick out different situations you’ve been in and apply the Scripture directly to them. Awesome!
